I would never recommend Tulip Inn. in Huntsville, 211 Arrowhead Park Road, P1H 2J4 Huntsville, Canada. The conditions of the Air Conditioners, Door Locks, and room carpet (4 out of 5 units booked from Jun 29 2018 to Jun th. 30th. 2018) were not up to the mark. None of the blankets had the inner sheets in all rooms (isn't it unhygienic?) . Coffee makes were dirty, and never cleaned may be since the previous guest used them. As a whole, we had to fix them and get ready all the units before we could them complaining several times to the owner of the franchisee.Sorry, only two out of five. :-(
Clean, dry, with the basics and nothing terribly wrong with the place but that is all. A bit tired looking. Had 2 coffee mugs & coffee maker but no water glasses. Good sized main area although small bathroom. Nice sized flat screen tv with cable but only very basic channels and the music on the guide station was very distorted - could have been a cable company issue. Internet seemed to work fine. Decent towels but our room had no wash cloths, although I heard another room did so maybe just forgot ours somehow. Nice little walk out deck... With a couple of old beer cans remaining for us. It was rainy and the potholed parking was not paved. None of the exterior lights by the door were on when we returned late after a wedding (and couldn't be turned on inside either). There was a nice large quilt on the beds but the fabric was extremely slippery and kept sliding off the bed from restless sleepers moving. And of course, it was an event weekend in the area, so all the rentals felt free to double their rates. The mattress on the bed was extremely firm but not uncomfortably so but since the bad was about all we used it was adequate. Although the door had a dead bolt, it took some fiddling to get the door shut firmly enough to engage it. No key for the deadbolt but maybe that is typical... It was all old mechanical locks of course.
The room was clean, although expensive. Internet service, and close to trails at a nearby Park. Also close to the grocery store.
Booked a room to stay the night befire heading to lake Opeongo in Algonquin park. Called ahead and got early check in. Place was practically empty. Gentleman at the desk was very knowledgeable about Arrowhead park and other activities near by. Basic motel rooms as expected. Bathrooms were somewhat updates and not disgusting! Maybe I have low standards?
Always get your invoice mailed to you. We had a wedding here and the people that did not have email confirmation emailed to then they charged double at check in. Place was dirty when we got there. Would not recommend this place. Pay the extra and go to the holiday inn, you will end up paying the same price at check in anyways.
