We stayed here for a week this summer and had a great time. There were some minor issues that we dealt with, but considering the Inn is over 125 years old and we had a group of 24 people, things went rather smooth. Great views!
Was here for a family event where the host booked the entire In. Considering this is a historic building, and the oldest In around, it's in great shape. Showers could use some updating as currently it's a bathtub with a hand held shower head. No place to hang the darn thing. The view from the back patio was amazing, with ample parking in the front. Great place for big events.
This place was awesome! We rented out the whole place for a big family vacation. Lots of room to spread out. Close to the water. The hosts even took us for a boat ride around the lake

We booked two nights at the Portage Inn in late September for our wedding. We hosted our small wedding (25 people) and most guests stayed at the Inn with us. We had a lovely ceremony overlooking the water, and our reception dinner was at one long table under a tent on their stone patio. Our guests were surprised at just how nice the Inn is! It's very cozy and comfortable, and everyone liked how it felt like a weekend at a cottage. Nancy and Sid are fantastic to work with, as are the rest of the staff.
