We were here this past weekend for a wedding, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. This would definitely be the kind of place that I would book a room and take a vacation there. The staff is very very friendly and seem to want to make their guests as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend.
Quaint hotel located in the Muskoka, prices are fairly reasonable considering location. Their breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious and the price is right considering the freshness of the cooking. Great place to host family events such as weddings or anniversaries. Great little rooms which all feature a balcony (non smoking) so you can leave patio open for fresh air and not have to worry. The doors are a bit annoying if not closed properly they beep for security reasons. Otherwise there are quite a few amenities and even a beach.
Recently attended Hidden Valley resort for a wedding in their Muskoka room. The venue was beautiful with lots of natural light from outside. Food service was excellent and the staff were both friendly and accommodating. Overall I would highly recommend Hidden Valley Resort as both a retreat destination and wedding or banquet venue. My only offer of advice would be to improve the parking areas as spots are tight and limited with very little room for vehicles to pass when the lot is full. Definitely look forward to attending Hidden Valley Resort again in the future.
The room was good; furnishings were comfortable but decor was a bit dated. The heater in our room only blew cold air no matter what setting was selected. We didn't make use of the grounds/amenities as we were just staying for an event a bit north of the area. The location was also good - beautiful scenery but a bit difficult to find in the dark.
A great place to get married. I loved that the rooms included access to the water front. IWe went kayaking. Amazing buffet breakfast. Great staff. I'm going back. Rooms are nice. Good size and comfy beds.
