I am giving one Star only because it wouldn't let me post without it. In reality, they deserve ZERO STAR! Ordered a box spring/mattress set from their online site, when it was delivered the drivers ended up putting holes in the top of the box spring. When we called customer service we were told a new one would be delivered the following Saturday which was last Saturday 08/04. Upon delivery the new drivers could not figure how to get the damaged box spring down the stairs. In their numerous attempts they scratched our walls and in one area even left a dent. One of the drivers went outside to call customer service, he told us we had to refuse the delivery and someone would get back to us regarding a credit. That call never came and a week later WE had to call customer service only to be told they will give us a $12.00 credit. What a slap in the face. Let me make sure I understand correctly, we have a box spring with holes in it, now 2 areas of our wall that is in need of repairs, we paid a $49.00 delivery fee and we are offered a $12.00 credit?!?!?!?! Doesn't seem like a good gesture in making things right! So, we declined the credit and were told a new set of delivery drivers (this will be the 3rd set) will come to our house next weekend to swap out the box spring and that a claim has been submitted for the wall repairs. (I doubt that will ever take place!) When asked about just picking up the set and issuing a refund I was told that there are no returns on beds. WHAT?!?! I understand due to bed bugs and what not there are concerns but the fact of the matter is that it was delivered damaged to begin with. Absolutely the most aggravating business transaction to date and customer service, well.... let's just say they are lacking in that area! Not only will I NEVER buy from RTG again, I will make sure to share this experience with friends and family in hopes to spare them their own fiasco!
I am giving one star purely for the delivery service. The personnel in the store were wonderful and helpful. However, the furniture cannot be taken from the store, it must be delivered. The deliver is set for a FULL DAY. They call two days before hand to tell you what 4 hour block of time they will be in the area. There is no way to work around this. I put in a request to have it an afternoon deliver, but two days before hand they call with a delivery time of 7-11 in the morning. I cannot do this time. I cannot schedule my entire work day around a delivery when they are only letting me know two days before hand of a four hour block and the day of a more specific time. The entire process needs to be revamped to take the customers needs and the fact that people work into consideration.
Tish was super helpful. We were walked passed by a few employees there and no one offered to help. Tish came straight up to us and gave us a lot of information that we needed. I had usually always bought my furniture used or hand me downs. So this was our first big furniture purchase. We look forward to having it bedroom suite, mattress, and the cocktail table delivered! I am going to recommend Tish to everyone I know!
This place has a lot to choose from. Salespeople are very friendly and accommodating. Very good place to buy if you need to buy on time. Furniture is good quality, not the cheapest yet not the most expensive either. Good place to check out.
I would provide a lower score if it were available. We had great in store service. We purchased a mattress set and a bed with headboard, foot board and rails.....Nothing is stocked there so we had to arrange delivery. Mattress set would take about 3 weeks....a little long but OK. The mattress was/is terrible, pretty certain that what we picked out is not what we got. Was under the impression there was a warranty. Decided to give it a few weeks to see if I got used to it. The bed (headboard, rails, etc) would take 2 months. Wow. OK. Day of delivery we get a 4 hour window of when they might be there (2pm-6pm). So someone takes off work to be there. At 5:30 we get a call that the truck broke down, they will be late to deliver. OK. We were told they would come that evening. At 9pm we get a call that they will have to re-schedule. OK. Stuff happens. 4 days later, no call. I call to ask about how to exchange my mattress and rudely was told it is $100 to return it then another $100 to get it delivered (and of course we would pay any difference in cost if what we choose is more expensive). No exception because it was like 4 days over the 30 days since it was delivered. She was abrupt and disrespectful and I had been nothing but polite and easy. I call to see whats up and spoke to someone who informed me, very rudely, we are scheduled for another 3 weeks from now. I ask for calls back from a manager on both issues and never receive a call back. Each time I try to follow up I am shut down. Finally on a call I find out they are moving the date to a few days out. I thank them and ask for delivery to be after 4 since we have already tried a delivery that didn't work out. No. Absolutely not. We ask for a heads up and told that they will call us when they are about an hour out between 2-6. It is the day of the delivery and told that is no problem. I call again to follow up and was intercepted again by the same person to tell me she cannot tell me anything except it will be delivered between 7AM-10PM. SERIOUSLY?!?! Because they 'fit me in' for delivery. She backtracks the they will not give us a call when they are an hour out since it is the day of for making that request. WHAT?!?! About 5 minutes after hanging up with her I get a call from my husband that Room-to-Go just contacted him and they are at our home to deliver. Not sure when or if they will make it back out today. I am hoping to return everything purchased and have learned my lesson with this one.
