They had a full-sized royal stander carousel horse for $184, need I say more? The selection was ok, with just enough offbeat stuff tucked in to bring me back to check for new treasures. The store kept going and going...lots of dining sets in the back, a neat antique loveseat with a poor reupholstery choice...but solid & cheap enough to have updated. The prices are fair. Definitely worth a quick stop if you're headed that way, imho.
This is a great place to find something you need to decorate your home. Furniture is gently used, there are lamps, pictures, home decor, all used. There are new mattresses very reasonably priced. Staff is helpful and polite. Some items are marked lower and on sale. Ask! Good place to hit first when you need a patio lawn set or spare room furniture.
I've been able find nice items at Encore over the years. They have reasonable prices, they are friendly, and fair. They have a pretty good selection of things to choose from as well.
I have bought and sold several times here. I love that they deliver for a small charge.
*ive never done a review period but this must be known* This place was recommended by one of my students parents, I purchased a bed, box and pillow back head board from them. Little did I know theyd be carrying bed bugs into my new apartment. When I inquired about them they gave me so much attitude and blamed me and my apartment complex and they sent out a representative from Orkin to further investigate. After inspecting and surveying the issue the verdict was that the bed bugs originated from this company and their warehouse. They were not nice to me moving forward, avoiding me, etc. they ended up moving the infested furniture out of my place and replaced it with new. They also had to get my apartment treated. Not even two years later my bed is super worn, box spring is as well. Im barely home and rarely sleep on it due to traveling with my job. Im almost convinced that my furniture was used. I understand that this is a consignment shop. But I was led to believe that my box, and bed were new. My headboard is decent. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Not because of what happened, and them bringing bed bugs into my home, even though thats enough in itself but because they treated me so poorly. One of the sales men was very nice, but thats it.
