I had a great experience my first time there. It was not busy at all (everyone was away doing weddings) it was just me, the stylist and receptionist. Loved the atmosphere and it was very clean inside too! Highly recommend and will return!
Im fairly new to Huntsville and have heard great things about this salon from co-workers so I wanted to check it out. I made an appointment online through their website. When I showed up, they said I wasnt in the system and the person I booked with isnt even supposed to start working for 2 weeks. Within seconds, they rearranged schedules and assured me I would get in. The haircut was great, the environment was relaxing and the overall experience was handled with a high level of professionalism. Cant wait to return.
Just had the ladies from the Hudson Hair Salon do the hair and make-up for my wedding. The came all the way down to Gravenhurst to our hotel and arrived before scheduled. The ladies were so friendly and did an amazing job with both hair and make-up. Very open to personal requests and very accommodating. A few of girls in my wedding party even want to travel all the way up to the salon for a regular hair cut/colour. Thank you so much to the salon for nailing it on my wedding day!
My hair is completely ruined.I asked for subtle, low maintenance balayage and left with extremely over processed cotton candy hair that is breaking off at an alarming rate. Before we began I advised my stylist that I had a horrible experience a few years ago and it has taken up until now to get my hair back long, thick, and healthy. I also told her that my hair lightens very easily. I showed a few photos of what I was looking for and said I get my hair done twice a year so it needs to be able to grow out naturally (something my last stylist had perfected - in hindsight I really should have driven the 4 hours back to London to see her). The gentle lightener used was applied far too generously over my already lightened ends and way to high up to my scalp for balayage. I was also put under a heat dryer...my fragile hair, covered in too much lightener under heat. The end result looked like my head was dunked in a bucket of bleach. When it is wet it feels like overcooked spaghetti and basically disentegrates into my hands. The stylist knew she butchered my hair. Once dried she kept combing through it trying to hide the horrible, chunky, completely unnatural dye job. I knew when I left that my hair was ruined. There was a woman waiting so I paid, left a generous tip (because I work in hospitality) and left without saying anything. When I got home and was able to have photos taken and really get a good look, I was horrified. I sent my previous colourist the photos and she was disgusted. She advised that I use absolutely no heat on my hair and said she would order me intense conditioning treatments that I could pick up when I am in town next. Until then, in order to prevent further damage, I cannot style my hair at all. Seeing as I spent $300 and left with hair that is so beyond damaged, I called and emailed photos of my hair to one of the owners. She seemed very willing to listen and to help with my situation. However, as the conversation continued the only option I was given was to have the same stylist (who ruined my hair) fix what she had done. Obviously I was extremely hesitant to have her anywhere near my hair again but I had no other option at that point, I was to be at a wedding a few days later. When I went back to the salon I asked for a deep conditioning treatment and for the yellow, over-processed hair to be toned. I also needed low lights to break up the chunks at my scalp. I hesitantly allowed the stylist to work on my hair. I also asked to be sent home with product that would hopefully repair the immense damage done. I expected that I would be offered a refund, because thats what a responsible, reputable business would offer, but that was not the case. In fact the stylist said to me I can either fix it for you or you can leave and pay another fortune to have someone else fix it. I was shocked. When I left, instead of sending me with a bottle of the conditioning treatment (which I desperately need) I was sent home with two tiny samples - good for one at home treatment. This was by far the absolute worst experience I have had getting my hair done. I would not recommend this salon to anyone, ever. After hearing of my experience a few acquaintances have also shared similar stories. I dont often leave reviews but I feel it is necessary this time. Oh and one star is being far too generous.
I was really unhappy with my hair and told this was the place to go to be taken care of. I was not let down. Stacey managed to lighten my hair and transform it into a beautiful colour without damaging it at all. She also did an amazing cut that I couldnt be happier with. Great, friendly staff and wonderful experience all around, will definitely be back!
